NetVisn Distribution Management deciphers security groups and distribution lists to their implicit and explicit members in either the base view (Cognos settings) or an account view.
View report documentation in NetVisn and you’ll get distribution information along with other important dependencies such as schedule, views, jobs, shortcuts, etc. You’ll get the same level of detail when viewing security objects (accounts, groups, roles, and distribution lists) except NetVisn Distribution Management will show all report content distributions for that security object.
Global distribution reporting is available using two NetVisn analysis features:
- The Distribution List Report provides documentation of all or selected Cognos distribution lists using either a base view or the exclusive ‘account view’ allowing you to easily verify your list settings.
- The Report Distributions Analysis contains many different display options to document distributions that fit your needs precisely:
- Group by security object, email address, or location package
- Base view or ‘account view’ of security
- Filtering by distribution type, object type, or location
